First Club Trophy
Cristiano Ronaldo won his first trophy with Manchester United in his first year at the club. This also marked the first time someone from Portugal plays in a Manchester United jersey. In the final of the competition, he opened the score sheet after 44 minutes as Red Devils rolled 3-0 past Millwall.
Manchester United's 1000th goal in the Premier League
On October 29, 2005, Manchester United lost 4-1 to Middlesbrough with the young Cristiano Ronaldo scoring the only goal for the Red Devils. As it turned out, it was Manchester's 1000th goal in the Premier League.
FIFA World Player of the Year
In January 2009, Ronaldo became the first player from the English Premier League to lift the FIFA World Player of the Year award, beating Barcelona's Lionel Messi and Liverpool's Fernando Torres along the way. Moreover, he was also the second Portuguese player to clinch that title after Luis Figo in 2001.
Diego Maradona's record breaker

FIFA Ferenc Puskas Award Winner
The Puskas Award, created in October 2009 to honor the legendary Hungarian soccer player Ferenc Puskas, rewards the player of the most beautiful goal of the year. Ronaldo won it with his 40-yard screamer against Porto, effectively firing Manchester United into the semi-finals of the UEFA Champions League in 2009. What's more, this goal also ended Porto's unbeaten record at the Dragao Stadium against English opposition.
